After a move accross the river from Nebraska to Iowa the Omaha Lancers changed to the River City (Council Bluffs) Lancers. This one was available through he team store, it commemorates the first five seasons for the Storm based in Kearney, NE. Previously located in Minnesota (St. Paul/Twin City) the Vulcans were one of the League's original teams. The Storm represents three Nebraska city area's of Kearney, Grande Island and Hastings. The Storm was the old Twin City/St. Paul Vulcans franchise who were once original USHL members. This season (03-04) 18 Storm players received college scholarship offers, a new USHL record. Other than their rabid support for their team, Storm fans are best known for their humorous lack of hockey knowledge (that is all begging to change now) like waiting for the 4th period, counting down penalty expiration time

Waterloo remains the last of the USHL's original teams. (Sioux City is the other) In 1977 the USHL ushered in a change over the next three seasons to a junior league. The ol' "Dove" logo is a favorite of mine as it reminds me most of the great games and fierce rivalry that existed between the Musketeers and the Hawks in the late 70's. Names like Starkey, McPhee, Brown, Klingbell Clubbe, Swick & Barzee all bring back some of my greatest hockey memories. This logo was born around the mid 90's and still stands as the primary logo. During the mid 90's the Hawks offered up some great promotion that could only be equaled by Eddie Veek...nickel beer, long hair & t-shirt night, guaranteed Fight & GM Explosion nights were some of the offering that sparked a lull in Hawks game attendance. 2003-04 the Hawks made history and won their first ever Clark Cup Championship. They defeated the league winning, and heavily favored Tri-City Storm 3 games to one.
This special puck was presented to season ticket holders during the 2001-02 season. This marked the 40th season of Black Hawks hockey in Waterloo. Screend logo on front. Blank back

Pictured below are souvenir pucks from past USHL teams. During the initial years of the new Junior USHL, regular/generic pucks were used
for game play. Team logo pucks were usually sold only as souvenirs.

Game night give-a-way puck One season in Danville 2003-04

The Sharks were members in the league for 4 seasons. I am still looking for additional Ice Sharks pucks, jerseys and pocket schedules if you have any that need a good home I would be very interested in trading my cash for your items.

This logo was new during the 99-00 season. 2000-02 was the final season for the Saints as they would soon be bought and moved to the Tulsa Oklahoma area.   This logo held for all but two of the Saint's seasons. They were orginal members of the USHL Jr. A league in 1980. They got the job done swiftly and won the league Championship Clark Cup the very first season, they did it again two seasons later in 1982-83. Famous NHL'er Gary Suter was a two season member of this Clark Cup wining team. They did it again two seasons later in 84-85. The Saints final USHL season was in 2000-01 when they relocated to the Tulsa Oklahoma area.

The Huskies were based out of Mason City, Iowa. They were league member for 16 seasons. The Huskies final season was the 98-99 campaign. I am still looking for additional Huskie pucks, if you have any that need a good home I would be very interested in trading my cash for your puck.

The 'Stangs got ther job done quickly and won the (86-87) Clark Cup it's second year in the league. Rochested was orginally moved from Austin, MN. (Spam capital of the world (see spam.com)). The Mavericks final season was in 2001-02

2003-04 Inaugural season Representing the St. Louis Area. The Eagles were coached by retired NHL'er Rick Zombo. Rick had a long career in the show playing for the Blues and Wings, he also played at UND and got his junior hockey start with the Austin Mavericks.

The USHL's lone Canadian representative stood as a formidable force throughout it's tenure in the league. New members in 1984-85, it didn't take long for the Flyers to dominate the league for multiple seasons. While not able to play for the league championship trophy (Clark Cup) they did win the Canadian equivalent (Centenial Cup)several times. They were also frequent winners of the USHL league regular season award (Anderson Cup).

Topeka Scarecrows Inaugural USHL Season 2001-02. Topeka's USHL life was a short one, only two seasons for the Crows. The switch from pro hockey (CHL) to Amature/Junior hockey (USHL) was not perceived well by Topeka's fans. However, a strong argument for USHL hockey and CHL being equally exciting could be made!!! This was Topeka's hockey fan's loss!!! Topeka Scarecrows Inaugural USHL Season 2001-02. Topeka's USHL life was a short one, only two seasons for the Crows. Based out of the St. Paul area the city name was changed in hopes of broadening the fan base to cover the entire Minneapolis/St Pail metro area. They were an original league member for 23 seasons. Veteran NHL'er Phil Housley was a member of the 80-81 Vulcans team. The Vulcan's final season was the 1999-00 campaign, the following season they were purchased and moved to the Nebraska "Tri-City" area. I am still looking for additional Vulcan pucks, if you have any that need a good home I
